All About Me!

I grew up in Pueblo County, went to Vineland Middle School and graduated from Pueblo County High School.  I received a degree in Biology with minors in Education and Chemistry in 1998 from the University of Southern Colorado here in Pueblo and acquired my Masters degree in Counseling in 2006 from Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado.   I began teaching here at Vineland in 2000 and absolutely love it!  I love this community and I love the kids that go here.  My passion is Biology and the great outdoors therefore I get to teach what I love.  Life Science, Earth Science with a touch of Chemistry?  Perfect.

I also have several animals which include 4 horses, 2 cats, 1 bird and 2 dogs.  I find that the time I spend with my husband and animals whether it's indoors or out, is very relaxing and comforting to me.  My husband, Tom, and I like to hike, travel, camp, work in our yard and ride our horses.  We are so lucky to live in such a diverse and wonderful place as Colorado!
